Roesland Free Lunch
This summer, my mom suggested going to Roesland Elementary, because
they were giving free lunch all summer in their cafeteria. But their
lunch WAS NOT HEALTHY! What they were serving was chicken tenders. Also,
they didn't have fresh fruit! They only had canned! At the school that I
go to, we usually have fresh fruit and have stuff like chicken alfredo,
turkey subs, and chicken noodle soup. The only good thing was it helped
people who couldn't afford to get food. If it's that bad at Roesland,
what is it like in the rest of the USA?

Death Sauce: A Taste of Pure Pain
I bet my dad that I could stand the so called "death sauce" from Grinder's Restaurant in Kansas City, MO. The name wasn't exaggerated. It was ten minutes of pure pain. So I advise you do not try death sauce! Just look at how red my face was after having a taste!

Islander Bar - Dauphin Island, AL
When my family went on vacation Dauphin Island (this is near Gulf
Shores, Alabama) we had dinner at a restaurant called Islander bar. I got
the crawfish and artichoke pasta. It had a luscious, juicy taste. It was
delicious. We also got some juicy crab claws for an appetizer. I rate
it four-and-a-half stars.

Crawfish for Dinner
When my family went on vacation to Dauphin Island (this is near Gulf
Shores, Alabama), my mom cooked craw fish for dinner. The meat had a
juicy, luscious, secular taste. It also had a slight tinge of sourness
from the lemon that was brushed over it. I rate it five stars. The photo is a picture of our friend, Jenn, who was also trying crawfish for the first time (she liked it too!).

The Boot
***Mom's note: Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed. Hayden is very sad.
The
Boot is a new Italian restaurant the Westport neighborhood of Kansas
City. I ordered the oyster mushroom frittata. It had a delicious
savory taste and had sour cream with tomatoes, cilantro, and onions on
top. It came out hot. At first there was a little steam rising from
it, but then it cooled down. The steam also had a faint hint of
cilantro for its scent. They also had other interesting options such
as roasted grapefruit, lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries and
sweet lemon butter, and the brunch pizza. My Dad ordered the brunch
pizza. The pizza had Italian sausage, scrambled eggs, sweet and spicy
peppers, very delicious cheese, and a luscious tomato sauce. I
thought the cheese was the best part, because of its pungent and
perfect taste. We sat at a long wooden table with other content
customers. I think the other people must have liked the food a lot.
Also, it wasn't too loud even though there was a lot of conversation
happening in the restaurant. I rate The Boot 5 out of 5 stars.

Fervere - Kansas City, MO
In the West Side Neighborhood of Kansas City, MO, there is a place called Fervere, at which they sell cheese slippers most Saturday nights at 6:30 pm sharp. If you are wondering what cheese slippers are, they are a type of circular flatbread that has the crust raised just a little bit more with luscious toppings giving it an extra kick. The ones they have the most often are the campo lindo egg and the heirloom tomato cheese slippers. The egg cheese slipper is topped with a most luscious cheese with some pepping egg to go with it. Also, the tomato cheese slipper is topped with some more cheese and some nice wet tomatoes. Just one more thing, you might want to get there 5 minutes early (also there is a great snow cone place nearby to go to called Little Freshie while you're waiting).
I will give them five stars.
I will give them five stars.

Czar Bar - Kansas City, MO
***Mom's note: Unfortunately, the Czar Bar is no longer hosting Kelli Daniels as its guest chef from Good You. We have not tried their current menu offerings so cannot speak to those.
One afternoon, my family decided to meet my Dad at the Czar bar for lunch. I got what they called Kansas City's Best Burger. Taste: It was the juiciest burger I'd ever had. The bun had sesame seeds and maybe garlic. Also, they had some delicious blueberry ketchup to go with their fries. Oh, and did I ever tell you that they had Aioli on the beef? They also kept joking that the burger was so good because it was made from first-born unicorn. ( I don't know where they got that from though.) They were also thinking of having an open mic night where kids could play music on the stage. I think that would be great. I will give them five stars. Czar Bar
